Leigh began writing poetry and fiction while still in the womb and embarked on her career as an award-winning print journalist before she could walk.

Even though a lot of people are jealous of Leigh because she is a literary genius and has good looks, charm, an adoring son and a great partner, she doesn’t let it go to her head.

Leigh loves travel almost as much as writing and bases much of her work on the years she wasted bumming around the world in her twenties, while her smarter friends were saving to buy houses. She doesn’t regret those hedonistic years though, as they were quite frankly, a lot of fun.

She’d love to dust off her backpack again one day and head off on more mind-bending adventures, with or without the cocaine. The one place she really wants to visit is outer space but she was denied a visa, so India, New York, Ireland, Cuba and Southeast Asia will have to do.

Leigh likes to have an ample supply of music, books, tea, organic wine and expensive chocolate at all times. She lives most of the year in a pair of handmade brown leather Indian toe sandals and is appalled by high heels or any fashion item that causes pain and/or spinal damage.

The rest of the year she lives in her country manor with its panoramic views of the rolling green hills of Maleny. Sometimes she just lives within the twists and turns of her adventurous mind, avoiding all outside contact.

Leigh likes to spend long summer evenings on her expansive verandah sipping champagne while her dashingly handsome man serenades her on guitar, after which they often retire to their personal observatory for a spot of star gazing.

Leigh will admit she’s on the wrong side of 30 but the right side of 40 and is looking forward to the second half of her life when her brains will overtake her beauty and bring her the critical acclaim she so obviously deserves.
